Lovin Small Town Livin...

Just wanted to post what has been happening around good ol' Joseph City the last couple of weekends. I absolutely LOVE that I get to live so close to my family. My dad came over last Saturday and spread some rocks for us while Zach worked on the deck. Of course the girls had to go for a ride with their Papa on his new tractor!!! The Saturday before I spent the day with my dad helping out on the farm. He called that morning and asked if I wanted to help, of course I did!!! I love spending time with him and love that my girls are now experiencing some of the same things I got to when I was growing up. Here is a picture of the garden.
We planted corn, cucumbers, japs, casabas, watermelons, cantaloupe, onions, squash, zucchini and I can't remember what else!!! Brigette was a great help following behind and covering up the seeds, then helping put the cups on top!!! Tera was a wonderful little girl and wandered around while my little cousin Christina chased her.

Here is my dad working in his new tractor...

I think its his new favorite toy!!! Good news, right after I took this picture I was invited to drive the tractor!!! Which I of course took advantage of!!! And I was the first to drive it after my dad!!!

This is a picture of the tractor when they delivered it to my house, it was super windy and the freeway got shut down, but she still got here!!!

Here is another picture of my dad. I wonder if he realized how many pictures I was taking and not working!!! We are in the alfalfa field trying to get the furrows right so the field will water better. If you look closely Brad is way up there on the left in a white shirt...
I spent pretty much the whole day with my dad working on the farm. I'm really excited to be here and to be able to help my dad again. When I lived at home a lot of my time was spent with my dad, either farming or fighting fires!!! I was so happy all day Saturday working with my dad and somewhat reliving my past!!! I also remembered why I was so thin!!! Working hard all day and not making much time for eating!!! I remember all the days I spent "helping" my dad hauling hay, branding cows, irrigating, planting, plowing, and whatever else needed to be done!!! I love my dad soo much, I love working and spending time with him, and I am so thankful I get to see him almost everyday and that my little girls are getting to grow up knowing the wonderful man he is!!!
Love you so much dad, can't wait for our next day of farming!!!
